There's complimentary wi-fi and the cafe serves as base for Hiking Hawaii's various daily tours on Oʻahu. A great spot to hang out.

lLocal LifeWaiola Shave Ice

Waiola Shave Ice ( GOOGLE MAP ; %808-949-2269; www.waiolashaveice.com; 3113 Mokihana St; shave ice $2-5; h11am-5:30pm Mon-Thu, to 6pm Fri-Sun; pc) still makes the same superfine shave ice as it did back in 1940, and we’d argue that it’s got the formula exactly right. Get yours doused with 20-plus flavors of syrup and topped by azuki beans, lilikoʻi cream, condensed milk, Hershey’s chocolate syrup or spicy-sweet li hing mui (crack seed).
